Although still in her senior year of college, Carly Bohling is already making her mark in the business world. While working as a pricing analyst intern at Masco Builder Cabinet Group in Adrian, MI she developed a new rebate claim process to improve efficiency and accuracy. She also developed new training processes while working at Carson’s Steak House in Sylvania.
Consistent demonstration of her leadership quickly became evident, as the education committee made the choice to award her a scholarship.

A senior at the University of Toledo, Ryan Papp has managed to keep a 3.9 overall grade point average while successfully holding down an internship and actively participating in his fraternity’s activities.
As an inside sales intern at the Schindler Elevator Corporation, he conceived, designed and presented a new sales strategy to the vice president of marketing and his executive board. He also sold more than $207,000 of elevator maintenance agreements, setting the record for most units and contracts sold in a single month amongst all previous and current sales interns.
As a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon, he competed in the 2008 Regionals of the Pro-Am Sales, finishing 4th out of 32 entrants at seven universities. While studying abroad in Bilbao-Getxo/Leioa, Spain, he volunteered at the local university teaching English to local students on a weekly basis.

With a 3.5/4.0 overall grade point average, Brian Zupan has proven himself to be a worthy recipient of an MSED scholarship. He, too, has managed to successfully juggle school and work without sacrificing his grades. His versatility has proved well for him as he has held down a wide variety of jobs while going to school including an internship at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Toledo.
His volunteer activities have included working as proctor at the University of Toledo’s office of accessibility. As a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, he was the PUSH chair where he coordinated bi-weekly visits to Josina Lot, a retirement home for persons with mental or physical disabilities.

Dana Shea is a senior at the University of Toledo with a major in Professional Sales and Marketing.
Dana exhibits both entrepreneurship and leadership. She has been able to fund 100% of her college expenses through grants, loans, and employment. As the Business Manager for the Independent Collegian, the university’s student newspaper, she increased sales by 30%, implemented a contact management system, and increased circulation by 25%. Dana continues to work at the Independent Collegian.
Beyond academics and business she is on the board of directors for the Collegian Media Foundation, the social chair of Epsilon Delta Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon (professional sales and marketing fraternity), the vice president of fundraising and community service for the American Marketing Association, team captain for the American Cancer society’s relay for life.
Dana looks forward to a career in sales.

Jessica Howard, a senior at Wayne State University, will graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration majoring in Marketing.
On the Dean’s List from 2004 to 2005, Jessica has earned multiple awards and scholarships towards her college education including a basketball scholarship and a soccer scholarship. She also received a scholar athlete award.
In addition to athletic excellence, Jessica has mastered numerous software applications and she has an impressive 3.8 GPA.
Beyond school, Jessica has worked at the Wayne State University Call Center, Red Robin, and Marshalls to help fund her education. In each of these jobs she gained considerable customer service skills.
With this background we know that Jessica will be successful in advertising and marketing.

She is an award winning student, having received many awards including:
The James Ellis “Service Above Self” Scholarship for leadership and community service, Jon Grant Spiritual Leadership Award for community spirit, the Farmington Youth Assistance Youth Recognition Award, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for outstanding community service.
Beyond academics Yelena has demonstrated leadership skills as president of the Humanitarian Club, Vice President of SADD, and Senior Representative on the National Honors Society during her senior year of High School.
She even finds time for bowling, receiving her varsity letter and being selected as the most valuable player. She also works at Coldwell Banker Schweitzer Real Estate.
