2009 Platinum Awards
Call for Nominations
Nomination deadline May 6th. 2009

The Marketing and Sales Executives of Detroit (MSED) promotes and recognizes excellence in marketing and sales in product and service businesses.

Each year, MSED honors sales and marketing professionals with its Platinum Awards. These awards recognize persons who have distinguished themselves in our field and helped their companies achieve critical business goals.The Platinum Awards are sponsored by Crain’s Detroit Business.

MSED will present its Platinum Awards to the following:
  • One team that successfully marketed and sold a new product or service, or an existing product or service to a new market.
  • One individual who has been instrumental in successfully marketing and selling a new product or service, or an existing product or service to a new market.


    • We are calling on all companies – MSED members or not – to nominate teams and individuals that participated in a recent campaign(s) that:

    1. Utilized new ideas or approaches
    2. Exhibited exemplary teamwork
    3. Met challenges imaginatively
    4. Exceeded business goals
    5. Had an impact on a business or industry
    6. Was involved in community activities (individual only)

    Recipients will be honored at the MSED Gala Black Tie event on June 18th. Award presentation pictures will be posted on the MSED website.

    How We Will Select Honorees
    A selection committee of marketing and sales executives, most past award recipients, will consider qualifications based on information provided on the nomination form. Those individuals and teams meeting the Platinum Awards criteria will be interviewed by the committee. All finalists will be recognized at the Gala Dinner and the winning individual and team will be identified.
