    SSDM WINS TWO INTERACTIVE MARKETING AWARDS

    INCLUDING BEST SMALL INTERACTIVE MARKETING AGENCY

    Troy, Mich -- March 19, 2019 -- SSDM, a nationally recognized digital marketing agency, has

    won two out the three awards for which it was shortlisted in the annual Interactive Marketing Awards (IMA) competition. This is the second year in a row that SSDM was a finalist for all three of its submissions.

    SSDM was awarded the top honor as the Best Small Interactive Marketing Agency of the Year . In addition, the agency also won for its campaign for Bosch Automotive Service Solutions: OTC in the Best Interactive Marketing - B2B category. The agency also was a finalist for its Bosch Automotive Service Solutions: ADS campaign, again in the Best Interactive Marketing - B2B category.

    SSDM Wins the Killer Content Award 

    TROY, Mich. - Feb. 28, 2019 - SSDM (formerly SS Digital Media) has won a Killer Content Award in the category “Agency Partnership,” for its social-media campaign for Bosch US during the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show.

    This is the first time the agency has taken home the “Finny,” so named for the distinctive shark-fin logo that defines the award. In 2018, SSDM was a finalist in the category “Measurable ROI” for its extraordinary results for Avian Enterprises, a local developer and producer of non-toxic bird repellent products.

    “To be able to support a major event like CES was wonderful,” says Nick Skislak, SSDM CEO and managing partner. “We all work really hard, so it’s great when our efforts are recognized.

    SSDM Moves into New Office Space

    Troy, Mich -- SSDM (formerly SS Digital Media) has relocated to a larger suite at 850 Stephenson

    Highway to accommodate its growing staff and the need for more conference space.

    “In our previous location, we were always on the hunt for rooms with doors so we could brainstorm ideas and discuss strategy,” says Michael J. Taylor II, company partner and creative director. “We literally looked all over town for the better part of a year, to no avail. Then, just as we were bursting at the seams, a perfect suite became available in the next building. Obviously, it was meant to be.”

    True to the company’s flat operating structure, the entire team packed and moved over a recent weekend, settled in on Monday and got down to work. The new suite triples the available square footage, has six conference rooms and an open bullpen where the team can collaborate and share ideas and information. A bonus is the top-floor view of surrounding Troy and on a sunny day, the Renaissance Center.

    SSDM is now located at 850 Stephenson Highway, Suite 700, Troy Michigan 48083. A ribbon-cutting and open house is tentatively planned for Thursday, April 11, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

    SSDM Partner Amanda Farley Speaks Again at SMX West 2019

    TROY, Mich. - For the second year in a row, Amanda Farley, director of digital strategy, will represent SSDM (formerly SS Digital Media) on the speaking panel at SMX West, the premier national event for the search marketing industry.

    Farley has become an expert in search marketing, designing award-winning campaigns for SSDM clients such as Avian Enterprises and Senior Villages Management. This year, she will speak about “Aligning Your Marketing with Your Customer’s Journey.” The conference, hosted by industry leaders Search Engine Land and Marketing Land, will take place January 30-31, 2019 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose.

    SSDM IS A FINALIST FOR THE 2018 ADCRAFT D SHOW

    TROY, Mich. - Upon its first submission of work for consideration, SS Digital Media (SSDM) has been chosen as a finalist for The D Show, the annual awards event for the Adcraft Club of Detroit.

    The community relations campaign SSDM designed and executed for Independence Villages and StoryPoint senior living communities will be pitted against an entry from global advertising agency Doner.

    According to the Adcraft Club, The D Show is “a celebration of creativity, designed to recognize the breadth and depth of the creative talent in the D. Advertising, design, production, post-production, digital, and all forms of emerging media are represented and honored.”

    This year’s award-event host is actor and comedian, Will Arnett. The ceremony will be held at Fillmore Detroit on Thursday, November 29.

    MSED Board Members to Judge Oakland University Business Scholars Case Competition

    Board members from the Marketing and Sales Executives of Detroit (MSED) have been invited to participate in the judging panel for the Oakland University Business Scholars Case Competition. On October 27, 2018, MSED President, Carolyn Sauer, marketing manager, HELLA, and Director, Mike DeVilling, senior partner, Finn Partners, will join a panel of judges made up of a combination of faculty and industry executives to determine the winning team. Each member of the winning team will receive an award equal to one (1) credit hour of tuition ($529.20 for the 2018-19 academic year) from the MSED Scholarship Fund.

    “We are excited to be a part of this competition and sharing the passion for the craft of marketing and sales with these students,” said Sauer. “We are looking forward to seeing what these future marketing and sales professionals come up with to address these real-life scenarios.”

    Business Scholars is a program created for high-achieving undergraduate students in the School of Business Administration of Oakland University. The students participate in a variety of activities designed to enhance their critical thinking, analytic capabilities, and presentation skills, as well as overall professionalism. Case competitions are among the activities the Scholars engage in during the year. Case competitions are run as one day events, where the Scholars are divided into teams of 4 to 5 students to address a business problem. The teams arrive in the morning on a staggered basis. Each team is given 2 hours to read the case, conduct an analysis of the situation, and develop a solution. They then have 30 minutes to present their analysis and recommendation in front of the panel of judges.

    TROY, Mich. - SS Digital Media (SSDM) creative director and partner, Michael J. Taylor II, will provide marketing guidance during a panel discussion on effectively communicating with reunion attendees, and specifically for promoting family and military reunions in Detroit.

    The Detroit Family Reunion seminar, sponsored by the Metro Detroit Visitors & Convention Bureau, will be held on Saturday, September 29, from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm at Sound Board at the Motor City Casino, 2901 Grand River Avenue, Detroit 48201. Attendance is free.

    SS Digital Media to Present at Found Conference in Columbus

    TROY, Mich. - Amanda Farley, Partner at SSDM, an integrated digital marketing agency, is a panelist for the Found Conference, a “purposely intimate” SEO and content marketing summit being held in Columbus, Ohio on September 26, 2018.
