MEMBER NEWS: Triune Specialty Trailers Announces Delivery of Mobile CNC Training Unite to North Central Michigan College

MADISON HEIGHTS, MICH., April 16, 2014 – North Central Michigan College takes delivery of the first ever Mobile Fab Lab!  

The mobile lab takes manufacturing training on the road.  The innovative mobile CNC Digital Fabrication Lab known as “The Fab Lab” is the only one of its kind in Northern Michigan, if not the entire State of Michigan operated by a state school. 

The unit will provide CNC programming and machining training to high school and college students in Northern Michigan to support workforce development in the region.  The unit was acquired by North Central Michigan College with the support of the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance.
 
“This was an outstanding opportunity for Triune to participate in the production of a mobile controlled environment,” said Don Hunley, Vice President. “Creating a mobile CNC classroom setting using traditional mobile solutions (a trailer) is extremely innovative and the applications are limitless”
