Director of Automotive Analysis
Mike Wall will present the IHS Automotive Outlook for 2015 and beyond. Focusing on the impact of economics, fuel economy requirements, supplier dynamics and the influences of new trends such as lightweighting and autonomous driving, Mike will provide a strategic look at the coming challenges and opportunities in North America and global markets.

Mike Wall serves as the Director of Automotive Analysis at IHS Automotive. He brings over 18 years of financial analysis, forecasting, consulting and manufacturing experience to IHS Automotive, with a primary focus on assisting financial firms and suppliers in their evaluation and understanding of the auto industry, as well as in-depth analysis of vehicle markets and trends.
Mike has extensive experience working with both manufacturing and financial firms. With a knowledgebase established studying and covering the automotive industry as well as experience in financial analysis and banking, Mike is able to offer clients timely and relevant insight, thereby aiding their strategic planning or investment analysis processes. Moreover, he has a deep background in the area of vehicle forecasting and market trend analysis allowing him to assist clients in their assessment of near-term risks and planning scenarios.
A widely respected automotive thought leader, Mike is quoted frequently in the media on a variety of automotive topics and has delivered presentations focusing on both macroeconomic and specific market outlooks to company executives and other interested groups, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna, Austria. He was previously recognized by the Grand Rapids Business Journal as one of the top "40 Under Forty" business leaders for 2009.
Prior to joining IHS Automotive, Mike was the Director of Forecasting at IRN, Inc. He has also held financial and analytical positions in the manufacturing and banking sectors. Mike graduated Summa Cum Laude with an undergraduate degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. He later earned the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. Mike currently resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife Theresa and three children.
MSED Event Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will be accepted until 5pm on Friday, January 23rd. Cancellations received by this date will be refunded less a 10% administrative fee, with a minimum charge of $5. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations received after this date; however, substitutions for another person to attend in your place are gladly accepted.
