SAE’s Brand Campaign “Meet SAE” Wins Award of Merit at Pittsburgh PRSA Renaissance Awards
Campaign Recognized as a Top Integrated Marketing Campaign Among Crowded Pool of Applicants
WARRENDALE, Pa. (February 7, 2022) - The Pittsburgh chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) recognized SAE International’s “Meet SAE” campaign during its annual Renaissance Awards on Jan. 27, 2022. The campaign earned an Award of Merit for Integrated Marketing Campaign. “Meet SAE” was one of more than 30 different communication campaigns and tactics honored among some of the most recognizable brands in the area including Duquesne Light Company, Allegheny Health Network, 84 Lumber and Highmark.
“This is the first time that SAE has been recognized for its marketing and public relations efforts alongside top-tier organizations in the field,” said Frank Menchaca, chief growth officer, SAE International. “I am super proud of the team and now that we are in the winner’s circle, we want to be there every year.”
The campaign is a joint effort from SAE International and video production agency Vinegar Hill and focuses on the human side of mobility, demonstrating the impact that the organization has on everyday lives. The team produced four videos showcasing a diverse range of individuals whose lives are touched by the work of SAE members.
“What a thrill to win this award from the PRSA for our collaboration with SAE International. Exploring these unique characters and stories with the SAE team was such a wonderful experience. It’s so cool to see these stories finding their audience,” said David Altrogge, Vinegar Hill co-founder and director.
The campaign initially launched in November 2021, with video spots across streaming services including Hulu and YouTube TV as well as on major social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter. The launch earned coverage in industry vertical Automotive News, among other publications.
A second targeted push is in development for 2022.
